converting pdf files to jpeg or some other format

out of adobe i saved some scans - i am trying to put a memorial of my father
together and do anything to trim or alter....how do i convert to a jpeg or
something i can work with in powerpoint or a photo editor

You can insert a jpg or other image into PPT using Insert|Picture|From File.

So the question is, what Adobe product were you working with when you saved
some scans, and what file type did you save them as?
