converting mpeg to mps/wav

hi

I have a number of music files in mpeg format and its fine if I want to play
them on my pc but I cant burn them to cd as the players outside my pc will
not reconise the mpeg format.

I am tying to convert these files to another format so I can burn to cd to
play songs on other devices

appriciate any help
