Converting MPEG Audio to MP3 or WAV

Hi
Does anyone know of a simple program to convert MPEG Audio to MP3 and/or WAV.
I have MPEG Audio files that will only play in RealPlayer, and I want to
delete Real.

Although the files I wish to convert from Real show as MPEG Audio in
RealPlayer when I add them to new program to convert I get error message that
they are MPGA and not supported!
Any more clues?
