I have a excel 2003 worksheet and I would like to convert the formula to
number within this worksheet is this possible, how can I do that

Thank You

If you want the result of the formula in the cell, just copy the cell and
(edit) PASTE SPECIAL. You can select to paste the value of the cell in the
cell.

I would select the cell and copy it. Next, select another cell and right
click and choose Paste Special. You only want to paste the value. This
will copy just the value from that cell and nothing else.

The formula is already there. I don't want to copy it and don't want to use
worksheet protection to hide it. What I want to is when the cursor is on
the cell that contains the formula, you only see a number and not how the
number was derived.

Do a search for "Protect worksheet or workbook elements" in the Excel help
utility. That may answer your questions.

Highlight the cell, and choose Edit>copy, then choose Edit>Paste Special.
Choose to paste the Value. This will paste the *value* of the cell (the
answer derived from the formula), rather than the formula itself.

Good luck!
