I need to convert a word document into a PDF file, so
nobody can modify its content.
Can someone remind me how to do this? (I've done it
before, about a year ago, and really doesn't remember at
all).
Thanks for your help.

You need the full version of Acrobat (not just the reader) installed on your
computer. If it is installed you should have a toolbar button, and Acrobat
should also appear as one of your 'printers'.

You DO NOT need the full version of Acrobat. You can still
create a pdf document from Word with a couple of software
available on the Net. Of course, this will not give you
the full functionality of Acrobat, but PDF document you
will create. I have installed it on my PC and it works.
However, the installation procedure is in French. I need
to translate it (short, but I am busy today). Hang on I
will do it this week-end.

Sophie, here is the link to the site where I found the way
to do it. Go to the bottom of the page to "Do it for free
with GhostScript" .
Bonne chance

Sophie,

Adobe has a web-based service that converts documents of
all sorts to PDF. They have a free trial for converting
up to 5 items. The service is $99/year after that for
unlimited conversions. My company has used it for over a
year and it works very well. Here is the link:
