I am running Office 2003 on XP on my work laptop. I am trying to create
identical contacts on my personal laptop with is running Office 97 on Windows
98 2ndEdition. I export the data to a .pst file and burn a CD, but this
format cannot be imported into my Office 97 version of Outlook. Is there a
way around this?

Try creating the PST file via File | New | Outlook Data File | Outlook
97/2002 personal folder file and then copying items into new file file.
Once you get the items copied over, close the personal folders file (right
click on personal folders and select close), close outlook and then take the
pst over to your Office 97/Outlook 97 install.

PS - make sure Office 97 has been patched up to SP2.

In addition to what Neo said, if you are transferring via CD, you must copy
back to the hard drive and remove the read only attribute from its
properties.
