Converting .123 file to Excel

Hi Ming!

If they are .123 files you need to use Lotus to open them and then
save them as .wk4 files which can then be opened by Excel 2000

Actually, if the OP has a version of 123 that can open .123 files, it's better
to use 123 to save them as .XLS files. The reason is that more recent .123 files
can hold 65536 rows per worksheet, but .WK4 format only stores the top 8192
rows, so saving in .WK4 format could cause data loss.

Thanks for that. I haven't used the latest editions of Lotus. In any
event there seems little point in saving as a Wk4 when Lotus can save
in xls format. And when you add the prospect of data loss it's a
non-starter.
