convert word doc to excel file

i have a document in a word. i want to convert into excel ( ther is a
function of import in excel but i dont know how to work with that function )

pls help its urgent

No need to convert anything, just insert the word document as an object.

Click INSERT on the Excel menu and select Object.

Click the CREATE FROM FILE tab and click the BROWSE command button and
locate the file.

Click on the file to import and click the INSERT command button in the
BROWSE dialog box.

Click the LINK TO FILE check box and click OK.

Resize document object as needed.
