Hi all,

I am using OfficeXP (Excel 2002). I would like to ask how to convert the
Excel file (or Word doc file) to tif? Thanks a lot.

Hi Billy

tif is a picture file format ... one way to do it, but this won't work if
the document or worksheet is greater than 1 screen in size ... is to do alt
& printscreen to "caputure" a picture of the workbook, then open paint
(program / accessories / paint) and choose edit / paste
you can cut out the bits you don't want and then do
file / save as and choose the type of TIF

a better solution might be to look at using a PDF generating program which
will generate a PDF document from your word or excel work. I use a
shareware one from www.pdf995.com and it works great.

Another option to get more than one screen-full, but not more than one
worksheet..........

Select a range and SHIFT + Edit>Copy Picture.

Then Paste to Paint or your favorite graphics program.

Julie's PDF idea sounds best.

I use the freebie developed by Dale Nurden.

http://www.rcis.co.za/dale/info/pdfguide.htm

Saves first to single *.ps file which is then converted to *.pdf

Returns one PDF file from multiple sheets.

I use the Jfax add in available at
http://www.j2.com/jconnect/twa/page/download

It's used to send faxes, but has a Save to Disk function. It's free, and
there's no obligation to be using the Jfax service. It can be configured to
sit as a button on any Office app toolbar. Surprisingly, although tifs, the
files are smaller than pdf's, and it's no more intrusive than a Save As.

It has one annoying thing. Once you've used it to save, you have to
manually reselect your local printer if you want to print the same sheet
(it's a print driver)
