Should I switch to IPv6? I have two machines running XP
and one machine running Windows 98. Both machines are
connected by a router with a broadband connection. That
is a little background of my current network setup if
that helps at all. They are all using IPv4 at the moment.

Right now I would not switch to a IPv6 only network, however if you want to
start learning IPv6 you could run both IPv4 and IPv6.

There is no need for you to switch to IPv6. This is a new set of standards to solve the problem of the current IPv4 ( running out of addresses ).
Are you having a problem with your network? or why do you think that you need to switch?

Bob, I'm not having a problem with the network. I just
want to stay up-to-date with the latest technology.
