Convert to Adobe PDF not functioning

I'm trying to convert an MS Word document to an Acrobat PDF. The Add-in program installed with MS Word (Convert to Adobe PDF) does not seem to be functioning. Nothing happens when it is selected.
I am using MSWord 2000 on Windows XP Prof and have the full version of Adobe Acrobat 5 installed.
