I copy an audio cd, but it doesn't play in my car's cd player because it is in windows media player format. What can I do to convert files to wav or cda and then copy them to a cd? In the optiones menu I can only choose kinds of windows media player formats, but not a different one.

You are burning a Data CD. Select Audio CD and the files will be "converted"
to .CDA during the burning process to make a standard Red Book Audio CD.

I, too, have been trying to convert an audio file in Madia to the wav format, with absolutely no luck! Any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated!

Assuming you are using Windows Media Player to burn there is a drop down box
that has the options. It's just above Copy Music IIRC.
