I don't know if this is the same for 2000, I have 2003. Go to your contacts
folder, click on File/Import and Export. In the dialog box under Choose
Action to Perform, choose Import from Another Program or File. Then click
NEXT. You should see Act! as one of the programs listed. Follow the wizard

I have Outlook 2003 and when I follow all your steps and click next after I
choose File/Import and Export, ACT does not show up in my "Import a File"
window? Why doesn't ACT show up and how do I import from ACT without it.

That's File>Import and Export>Import from another program or file>Next. The
very top entry should be "ACT! 3.x, 4.x, 2000 Contact Manager for Windows".
If it's not there, go to Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs>Microsoft
Office (or Outlook, if it's installed separately)>Change. Locate the
Importers and Exporters options, expand it so you can see :Import from Other
Formats, expand that, and select ACT!
I'm trying to convert import ACT 5.0 contacts to Outlook 2000. On Outlook
when I go to File>Import and Export>Import from another program. It only
gives me ACT 2.0 or ACT 3.x. When I try either of these commands, I get an
error that my file can't be recognized. Is there an update that allows me to
bring in ACT 5.0 contacts or do I need to upgrade Outlook?
