Convert a percentage to an hour

I need a formula to convert an FTE (fulltime employee) number to an
hour. Using a 40 hour work week. For example, I know 0.50 FTE equals
20 hours. What formula can I use to calculate other numbers such as
0.31, 0.24, etc.?

I was an art major (oy).....tonight, this task is getting the better
of me. Any help on this very simple problem would be greatly
appreciated.

Depends which way you want to go.

=.50*40 returns 20 hours.

=20/40 returns .50 FTE

Substitute your sample numbers.....40 remains constant.
