I recently saved my entire Outlook 97 file to backup.pst using the standard
backup option in Outlook. My goal was to import all of that data into
Outlook 2003.
The conversion seemed to work OK in general in that the records were read
in, but many of the contacts were missing data. Most notably, my business
contacts were missing their email addresses.
Does anyone know why backing up and restoring data to and from Outlook has
to be so frustrating? I don't remember any options to map the fields I was
restoring, therefore I assumed it would map automatically. Bad assumption.
I still have the backup file from Outlook 97. Does anyone know how I can
get the contacts into 2003 without losing everyone's email address?
Thanks in advance for your help.
