Hello, I am looking to paste data from a webpage into an excel sheet.
All of the data transfers fine except for one field that contains a
string of approx. 16 numbers.
as an example the number on the web page may be
4223695099097643
when pasted into excel though I get this
4.2237E+15
if I click on the cell, the number will be there but the last digit is
changed to a 0, making the number useless to me.
I have tried to paste special, change the cells to text, etc all to no
avail. Any ideas on how I can import the string without having excel
change the number? By the way my preference is that the number be a
text field but a number field will do also just as long as excel does
not change it on me.
Thanks for all the help and let me know if anyone needs more info.
