Hello

I am trying to scan in my letter head and logo into MS Word. I want to be able to type on the scanned image. How can I convert the image over to a document. Is there a program that will do that

Richard

Hi Richard

If you want to keep the logo intact and be able to type text on top of
it, simply select the picture of the logo, click the Text Wrapping
button on the Picture toolbar, and select Behind Text.

If you want to convert the logo to text so you can modify it, you'll
have to use an optical character recognition (OCR) program. You
probably got such a program bundled with your scanner.

For some great ideas on making various kinds of letterhead, see

Once you've scanned your letterhead and logo into a graphic file (.tif,
..bmp, .pcx, .jpg, etc.), insert the graphic into the header of your
document. In Word 97, format the graphic with layout = "float over
text", order = "behind text". In Word 2000 and up, format the graphic
with layout = "behind text".
