Controlling formating in HTML email

I start an HTML email. I am using Arial and the left margin is close to the
left edge of the window. I write some text. Then I go to word doc and copy
and paste some text from the doc into the email. The text comes in
formatted like it appears in the Word doc, Times New Roman, with a indent
set for Body Text 3.

Then below it I want to go back to the original Arial with close to left
edge margin. How do I do this?
