Control Panel

When I select the control panel icon, it seems to take forever to open up (3
- 5 minutes sometimes). I have had that problem before when I was running
Windows 98 so I took my machine to a local store and had the hard drives
scrubbed and Windows xp installed.

Any ideas? I think that it is also affecting the speed of other things but
I only use the computer for minor word processing and spreadsheet uses other
than the internet. I have a DSL connection for that.

Could be 100 things. Are you spyware/virus free? Got enough room left on
c:?
