When I click on control panel the main window comes up
and allows me to make a selection. No matter what
selection I make, when the next window comes up the
window is non responsive. Any ideas???

I found a solution. I overwrote the Windows folder from a system backup I
did several months ago. System has been working fine now for weeks. Thanks
for the reply.

If you backed up your computer (including programs) with MS Backup when
everything was working correctly - Programs\accessories\system tools\backup -
then this might help. Just run the backup program then select "restore files
and settings". In the following window expand C: and only select the Windows
folder then click next. DO NOT CLICK "FINISH" YET!! Click "advanced". Select
original location - then "replace existing files"- then leave all boxes
checked- then click "finish". If you used a different backup program, the
restore feature should be similar.
