Control panel does not start

Hi
I have a weird problem: without installing anything.
suddenly one day i start my compuer and when i tried to
start control panel (control.exe), it seens to be crashed
and it does not start. The same is happening with windows
explorer (explorer.exe), and Internet explorer
(iexplorer.exe). The other applications run as usual.
Also if i start my pc in safe mode with networking
support, i indeed can start the control panel, internet
explorer and explorer as normal.

I reinstalled windows XP as update without luck
I have windows XP HE, with atlon XP 2000,

any idea?

I had this problem, also.

I downloaded Ad-aware from www.lavasoftusa.com, installed
it, ran it, and this resolved the problem.
