When I try to access the Desktop Tab in the Display section of the Control
Panel, the program freezes and when I exit indicates a problem with
dll32.exe. The other tabs in Display work fine. I have deleted spyware and a
Trojan that McAffee found. Any suggestions short of reinstalling Windows XP
would be welcome.

Update - The problem has resolved itself. I began backing up files and
removing some programs before repairing XP and somewhere along the line the
Desktop tab was fixed.
