Hi there

I was wondering if you could help me. I have a computer that is W2k Pro
SP4. When the computer starts it goes really slow. I look at the running
tasks and control.exe is running at 99% CPU usage. When I end task it the
computer runs fine. I have disabled all startup programs both in the
startmenu and in the registry but it does not fix the problem.

Has anyone seen this before??

Use MSconfig from an XP machine and it will help show what is starting up
and what services are running.
