continuous printout

I Have a P-4 w/Win-XP
while in DOS SHELL from QUICK BASIC in compatability mode.
I entered "PRN c:\QB45", hoping to get a list of files in
that Directory.
The printer is now printing file contents. The first
three files each have 5k lines. That means continuous
printiing. I have tried all of the available XP
solutions, such disabling the spooler. They have all
stopped the printing, but don't kill it. Printing resumes
every at every boot-up. The DOS command "Print /t" says
it is not supported.
The Dos command "Print" says No file in the queue.
I uninstalled the Printer program. An attempt to re-
install from the CD and the RECYCLE BIN failed. In fact,
WIN-XP says there is no printer installed. This is
getting rediculous. Please, any clues?

I am confused as to what you did. Did you boot into a pure DOS
environment and modify a file or something or did you just do this from
within XP? Check and make sure you didn't do anything to the boot.ini
or autoexec.bat files. Finally, you can just unplug the printer until
you get it sorted and may have to try reintalling Windows if you really
messed something up.
