context menu problems

Right click menus are popping up on my computer continuously. Is this a virus
or some kind of bug?
 
Have you checked the condition of your mouse (Sometimes dirt gets stuck where
you don't want it)

Exchange the mouse first.

User input changing viruses are uncommon now-adays and there isn't much that
could go wrong with windows in this department.

PS does it sometimes happen if you press a certain key combination (This
could give it away as a virus)

....viruses', that give away thier presence too early are bound for
extinction - so most you wouldnt even know that you have (Untill it's too
late!)

I don't think its the mouse, its a laptop and I've tried adding a mouse and
get the same results.
 
You have Context menu key in keyboard ? If yes, that can be the problem

Download:

AVG antivirus - Free ed
Adaware SE - Free ed
SpyBot Search and Destroy
and if they don't get something I dunno what will. and I would have to Agree
with Ayesh and ask whether or not Coffee has been spilt when not looking (Got
Kids)

PS Context Menu Key can Get stuck quite easily considering it is never used.

Only you know as you didn't say if you ran 2 new anti-virus apps. to see
if it is a virus.
