they can be selectively used in a project from programmed error/help events?

Not quite sure what you mean.

Do you mean calling specific help from within an error
trapping routine? WinHelp or HTMLHelp?

What do you mean by 'MS application help files'? Yours?
MSFT's?

Would you elaborate a little please...
