Content Advisor reset -- forgot password

I set the Content Advisor up long ago when my kid brother
was visiting to curb his penchant for visiting porn sites
on my computer. Today I tried to access the security
update for Messenger and for some reason Content Advisor
will not let me view the page. Problem is, I forgot the
password.

How can I reset this to get rid of the password
requirement?

All the Content Advisor settings are stored in the key below. If you no
longer have the password, then simply delete the key, and all the settings
will be removed.

User Key:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Rating
s]
System Key:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Ratin
gs]

Start>Run>regedit
Find the key/s shown above. Single click on the key to highlight it, press
the DELETE key, or alternatively select Delete from the Edit menu.

Close Internet Explorer, re-open it, and the Content Advisor feature should
now be disabled.
To check to see if it has been disabled:-
Click on Tools, Internet Options.
Click on the Content tab and click on Disable.
When asked for a password, don't enter anything; just click on OK.
This will disable Content Advisor because there's no longer a password.


Note you can save the registry key first by:
On the File menu, click Export.
In the File name box, type SaveKey, and then click Save.
Or create a system restore point prior to editing.
Note: If the registry key is not there, you can simply create one by going
edit > new.
