Teri

I am having a problem with the Content Advisor not working even though it's
enabled. I have gone through all the steps (over and over) and nothing
works.

I have a brand new Dell computer (Windows XP, IE6) and Comcast internet
service. It worked the first day I enabled it but now it's like it's
permanently diabled. Could another program/someone have been able to do
this?

I noticed that under 'approved sites' there is a green circle with a blank
line next to it. I can't get rid of it or remove it. It just comes back.
So it looks like it is programmed to allow any/all sites to be viewed and I
can't delete or override the function. I am having trouble finding any
information on this one.

Hi Teri - Content Advisor - If you wish to restore Content Advisor to
its original condition (because of your kids) you can obtain a Microsoft
program (CA-Reset.exe - 89.5K) to do this here:
http://ftp.donaldsonconsulting.net/Microsoft-Support/Content Advisor reset/.
NOTE: Using CA-Reset will completely delete your Approved List -
everything starts like brand new, so consider this before you use it.

Thank you! I tried this and it did reset everything EXCEPT that one
permanent green circle under the approved list. My password and everything
works fine but it still doesn't block out ANY sites or filter the content.
It's like someone/something has installed something to permanently disabled
this feature. Any other suggestions?

Hi Teri - I don't use CA, and am therefore not very familiar with it.
Most of the help requests we get are to disable it after it's gotten
inadvertantly set or a password has been forgotten. Perhaps someone
else can chime in here that knows more. I would check on thing though -
be sure that the Users can see sites that have no rating option
isn't checked.
