OL uses Contacts, not add.book, why do you wish to use add.book?
If you have started using OL, and previously used Outlook Express, on the
same PC. In OL Import your addresses from OE.
Normally in Outlook you use your Conacts folder (and possibly other contact
containing folders) as an address book so there's no need to copy them. What
version of Outlook are you using?
Address book is an antique component from pre-outlook messaging appliation
and for special cases for example ldap and exchange address books. Modern
users use contact folders and transfer them into an address book using the
Outlook addressbook provider, eventually you need to add this into your
profile. Then right click on any contact folder, select the "outlook address
book tab" and click "show this as outlook address book".
Thanks,
So why does it have an address book option?
Anyway , my real problem seems to be a different one, viz. that I don't
put people to whom I reply automatically in the contacts.
It's Outlook 2003
