two questions:
1. how do i add contacts to the left side bar the way it was in outlook
express?

2. how do i program my settings so that as soon as i start typing a name, my
computer recognizes the person and 'finishes' the rest off for me?

ps. is it just me or is windows mail not as good as outlook express?

1: Not available in WM
2: Auto-complete is available for contacts only after they have been
previously used, it then only remembers the previous 29 addresses.
ps: you are not alone.

With difficulty, if at all.

Send messages to the 29 addresses you want on the list it uses to finish
off the addresses, which is separate from the contacts list, and send
a message to any of them who has dropped off the list of the last 29
addresses you sent messages to. If you'd rather use the contacts list
instead, don't type any part of the address; instead, in the new message
window, click on Tools, then Select Recipients.

Some people prefer Windows Live Mail, which handles address
completion better. It hides Windows Mail, but does not remove
it, when you install it.
