Contact will not sync with mobile device

I created folders for my contacts, for example a folder for family, friends,
business, etc. After I seperated them into folders they will not sync to my
IPAQ. What can I do to get them to sync properly?
 
You can only synch default folders with ActiveSync. Instead of using folders
use categories and configure ActiveSynch to only synch contacts from
specific categories.
