Contact Name Feild in Message Body

I would like to send contact an email message and when I
click on email with a contact highlighted I would like to
have a "Hi persons first name" feild inserted into my
message. I previously used goldmine and this was easy to
do. So far I have not been able to do this in Outlook.
Any answers?

Mail merge using Word.
