I need a contact manager, calendar & project coordinator with
multi-lingual features for a small project that uses Window PCs in
different cities. People that will use both are NOT techno-geeks.
Is there any free contact manager that can link between PCs in different
places (no LAN) ?

Depending what you want to focus on, there are different possibilities.

You could use a groupware like eGroupware, a crm solution like vtiger
or some project management software like PHPProjekt for example. All of
those are server based and can be accessed via the internet for example
(or a lan of course).

It sounds like egroupware is the best combination of contact
managerment, a little bit of crm, and project or workflow management.

Cheers

That's my thought too. Frank, you might want to pop over to
opensourcecms.com. Essentially, the site loads demos of every
cms-related app they can. On the index tree at left, click on 'groupware.'

I've heard NetOffice get a lot of praise and I've seen dotProject used
effectively. No direct experience in this space though.

p.s. I'd really be interested to find out what you chose...
