Sorry if you read this post twice but I can't see it anywhere so if anyone
can email the answer I'd be much obliged. How do I Import the contacts I
have on CD -RW . IE with what commands do I use . TIA

Copy the PST file to your hard drive, remove the Read-Only attribute, and
use File>Open within Outlook to open the file. Copy the contents of the
Contacts folder of the file to your current Contacts folders. All done.
 
To Import from a CD use the following steps:
1. Make sure the file on the CD is not Read Only. If it is then copy it to
the desktop and remove the Read Only flag.
2. Open Outlook.
3. Go to File -> Import and Export.
4. Select "Import from another program of file" and Click Next.
5. Select the file type to import from such as .pst or .csv. and Click Next.
6. Click Browse and browse to the path of the file to import from and Click
Next.
7. Select the folder to import from and Click Finish.

Importing can, on occasion, leave information out that simply opening the
file. Eschew import/export when possible.
