When I try to select a contact for emailing from the TO button on the mail
message form I get the attached error message.

I've tried to use the outlook help but cant find the correct section. The
select names box then comes up so I can pick from the Show Names from the:
drop-down box.

There are 2 options called contacts, of which the second one is the correct
one. How do I remove the first one? My contacts display fine under the
contacts option from the personal folders list on the left.

Thanks

Andy

You failed to post your Outlook version and the error message.
If I am able to guess correctly at both, remove the invalid reference to the
Contacts Folder here:
Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or address
books > Outlook Address Book > Change. >

Then you removed the wrong one.
Just reset the entire Outlook Address Book. Remove the service. Restart
Outlook. Re-add it and point it to the correct Contacts Folder.

Any thoughts?

No attached message.

When this happened to me, I removed the Outlook Address Book service from my
profile and re-added it. It cured the problem.
