After importing contacts, I cant remove or change the location of two folders
labeled outlook contact and outlook calendar. They are just sitting on my
desktop. If I delete them they come right back. I'm using Vista with Office
2007. Any help would be appreciated.

I did a better search for the problem and found that its not version specific
and at least one person believes its related to Dell Media Direct. I am
working on a Dell Laptop so that's possible. My folders appear only on my
desktop though. Very weird. Any ideas?

Well I uninstalled Dell Media Direct and low and behold, the folders never
came back. I don't know why, but DMD seems to create those two folders in
several different places. If you have this problem I suggest you search your
machine for other instances after uninstalling. Again, weird.

I have noticed that these folders appear when I attach a file to a message,
however, they are created in the same folder as the attachment. If the
message is still open and I delete these 2 folders, the re-appear in a few
seconds. Once the message is sent, I can delete them.

Any ideas as to what causes this to happen? (Outlook 2007)

Vince,

I found that the problem is a program called "OutlookAddinSetup" left over
from the setup of your machine by Dell (At least that was my problem).
Remove that program using "Add Remove Programs" in the control panel. That
solve my problem.

Hope that Helps,

Danny
