My printer suddenly won't print. I suspect it's because the ink light has
stopped blinking... However, I can't see which cartridge to replace - the
colour or black one. There's apparently a driver somewhere, and it's supposed
to be on the XP disk, but I can't find it. Does anyone know where I can get
the consumables driver from?

Probably from the installation disk that came with your printer.
Probably available from the support or download section of the
manufacturer's web site too. Which printer from what manufacturer?

Nope - it's not on the disk for the printer. Apparently Windows XP isn't
supported. I went to Epson and it referred me to Microsoft, but I can't find
it there either! It's an Epson Stylus Color 440.

Unfortunately your printer is so old that Epson won't support it by writing
a Status Monitor package that is compatible with XP.

You'll either have to replace both cartridges if you cannot tell which one
you need to replace by physical examination or get a newer printer that is
fully supported.
