I'm assembling user manuals from a collection of previously written
documents, each one with at least one screenshot, and each screenshot
identified as a Figure. The docs total multiple hundreds of pages each. I've
got the pages nicely numbered using descriptive letters. For example, AS-100,
CM-45, and so forth. I would like the many screenshots to be similarly
numbered, from Figure 1 to Figure N. And indeed, in one of the documents this
has happened without my even telling it to. Lucky me! However, in the others,
the Figure numbers reset themselves to one at the beginning of each chapter.
I can't for the life of me figure this out... I've ALT F9ed for code because
I've used it in the headers to display section titles based on the level 1
and 2 headers, plus a header graphic linked to a file. My question is, of
course, how can I get the Figure numbers to reset themselves?
