connection to server failed??

i am getting the following error message when sending mail through windows
mail. has worked fine in the past, not sure what the problem is...HELP!

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Re: Pictures from
Sandra:', Account: 'pop.mail.yahoo.com', Server: 'smtp.mail.yahoo.com',
Protocol: SMTP, Port: 587, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error
Number: 0x800CCC0E

For a yahoo.com connection under Windows Mail, you need to either
pay extra or install YPOPs.
