Hi!
Once in awhile, my home wireless connection 'll be working fine on my WinXP
Pro laptop, I'll shut down 'n' go to work, dial up to People PC there (cable
not available, boss knows, is OK with it), that works fine all night, I'll
shut down and go home and when I start up again at home, I get nothing. The
wireless icon in the system tray 'll say "Connection 11mbps, signal strength
very good" but nothing that required a 'net connection 'll work. I have to
run system restore at least once, usually more, to get it working again. It
doesn't help that I have to take the extra time and trouble to do it from
safe mode or that's a guranteed "system could not be restored."
What causes it to do that?
Also, where can I find a working copy of the software that's not working?
It would be lots faster to simply reinstall that software when it's not
working that to repeatedly shut down, restart in safe mode, run system
restore, allow it to reboot in regular mode, see if it works and go through
the whole time consuming thing all over again if it's not working.
Thanx in advance
