Connection errors

Hi,
I have this problem:
The Internet browser shows the images included in web pages in very
low quality even when I use another web browser (i.e. firefox).
I tried to reinstall my Modem and enable the hardware flow control and
modem error control,but that was useless.
How can I retrieve this problem.

To know:I'm using Windows XP sp2.

The original images on the website might well be low-quality in the
first place. The programmer must be able to fit content that will fit
the screen and have it downloaded as quickly as possible. It does not
allow high-quality images and their file sizes.
 
Are you using some "internet accelerator" software? They work by using
content reduction(read low quality graphics) methods.
