I keep getting a message box with a title "Connection Error" and a message:
"We have detected that you are not currently connected to the internet.

If you click the Dial button below, we will attempt to connect to the
internet using your default internet connection."

How do I figure out which program is creating this message? My virus scan
is clena, and ezantivirus shows no program alerts for today's date, and
adaware and spybot show I'm clean. This error just started showing up and I
have no clue why. It would be nice to have some control over my OS.

Thanks for your help.

Have you found an answer to what program is causing it. I get the same
pop-up when I'm disconnected or when I have a Cisco VPN connection up
and running.

No sorry; My error went away. I think it was caused by Kodak EasyShare as it went away after installing the latest version for a new camera. The other change I made was to EZ Firewall. I deleted programs that were previously blocked, to see if there was a program requesting access and getting denied resulting in the error. Didn't get a request to grant a new program access though. So I don't know the cause.

Its interesting you get it with a Cisco VPN connection. I think my wife may
be doing that when she logs into work. Maybe I'll blame her? Not. Good
luck.
