We just bought a new computer to use as a "server" that
has XP-Professional. Old "server" had XP-Home. When
networking a laptop, everything was fine connecting with
XP-Home, but now laptop cannot access new computer or
printer. The server can see and access files on the
laptop, and the laptop can "see" the server in Network
Neighborhood, but when trying to access files on the
server there is a message: Enter Network Password - You
must supply a password to make this connection - Resource:
\\Dell\IPC$ - Password:. We have tried every password we
have, but cannot find which password this is referring
to. Do we need to "trash" XP-Professional and go back to
XP-Home? Any ideas?
