Hi,
I have a laptop connected to a Internet using a dial-up link. Now I need to
connect another laptop on the same dial-up link. Both the laptops have Win XP
pro running. Can I connect both the laptops using a UTP connector ? Is there
any software I need to run / install on these laptops ?
Regards
Yogesh

Connect the computers to each other with a crossover UTP cable. A
regular UTP cable connects a computer to a hub or switch, and it won't
work to connect computers directly to each other.

The software is built into XP Pro. Enable Internet Connection Sharing
on the first laptop's dial-up connection. If it asks what connection
to use for the home network, tell it to use the Ethernet connection.
I've written a web page with details:
