I've browsed the newsgroup and the sites referred to here. I just want to
double check that I can do this....

I have a desktop and a laptop, both running XP home, both with a NIC. I
have DIALUP internet conntection to the desktop. If I connect the two
computers with a crossover cable, set up the network using the wizard, and
then enable the ICS, will I be able to access the internet on the laptop?

Thanks in advance.

Yes. Run the Wizard first on the computer that has the dialup
connection, and it will enable ICS for you. Then run the Wizard on
the other computer, and it will automatically detect the ICS
connection.
