Hi

I have an XP image that I am deploying that has an issue when selecting the
drop down box for the domain, it pop up a box "not exactly sure of the
message" but it is searching for name entries at this point. The problem is
that it doesnt just looks to be forevery searching. The only way to stop
this is to pull the plug and cold boot, even then some times it repeats the
same thing and others get past it ok.

any help or guidance would be greatfull.

What happens when you start to select the domain, it starts its searching
and you press CTRL+ALT+DEL?
Can you select one then? Does it start its search again?
CTRL+ALT+DEL again - does that allow you to select the domain you want? Log
in? Reboot after that and is everything fine?

Is DNS on the affected boxes pointing only to an internal domain DNS server?

Hi Sheran

At this point I am unable to ctl alt del as I will not respond.
I am going to look at the image itself and the sysprep tool for the image as
I have never used this with win 2000 but it is recomended with XP.
