I just bought a toshiba 1400-S151, it had been fdisk(ed), w/no OS. Is it possible to copy OS from my toshiba A15-S129 to the 1400?

You can connect the two laptops with a $7.00 crossover cable and transfer files
with the Files Transfer Wizard but that will NOT transfer the OS to your Toshiba
for an OS needs to be installed first not transferred. XP will allow only one installation per PC, so if you want to run XP on your Toshiba go to eBay and bid on a new XP CD, they are selling now for about $50. Note: If you have an old version
of Windows95 or 98, you can install that on many PCs.

Yes you can copy the OS from one to another by using a ghosting program like
Norton Ghost for example. The problem you will run into is licensing. Unless
you have a Volume Licensing Agreement with Microsoft, it is piracy.

thank you, I dont have a "ghosting program", nor do I want to run into any legal problems.
