I just added a hard drive (Drive E:) to my computer and now FP won't open
"My Webs" from that drive. It only opens to My Documents on Drive: C, then I
have to search Drive E: for Webs and open from there.

The OS (XP Pro) and FP are installed on Drive C: but all data now resides on
Drive: E.

How can I get FP to connect directly to My Webs again? Is it advisable to
reinstall FP on Drive: E? If anyone has already been through this please
help. If not, please help anyway!

For what it's worth FP is the only program giving me problems...

Delete My Web folder from drive E via Windows Explorer, then open your web
on drive C in FP and publish to the new location on drive E, as folder with
no spaces.

Everything's already been moved from drive C: to drive E:

FP used to connect just fine when all the data was on drive C: but FP
doesn't know I moved it. My dilemma is how to get FP to "know" all data has
been moved. That's why I asked if it was advisable to
reinstall FP on Drive: E. I doubt this is a good idea but threw it out in
desperation.

How did you move it, unless you published it you will have problems access
it.

It doesn't matter where the FP application is installed.

Example, I run FP directly from my Windows 2000 server on Windows XP Home
(drive N), and can access My Webs on Windows XP Home (drive C) or IIS on
Windows 2000 server.

The guy that installed the new hd copied everything from C: to E: Will that
cause some problems I'm not even aware of yet? Every time I change something
on my system problems seem to come out of nowhere.

Depending on the application, and how it replies on the Windows Registry,
just copying folder and files will not adjust any registry entries. With an
FP web, you need to delete the current web off of your new drive, then open
the one on your C drive and publish it to a folder on your new drive.

Thanks for the help. I'll go to work on it.
