For some reason, when I connect to an available wireless internet connection,
Internet Explorer does not recognize that I have an active connection. It
does work however, while I'm connected to a DSL/Cabe connection via an actual
wire etc.

This problem only began a short while ago and I'm not sure which of my
settings changed to cause it.

Please help!!

Try this first:
Go to Ctrl Panel, Internet Options, Connections (make sure the NEVER
DIAL A CONNECTION is checked), Then go to LAN Settings and make sure
that AUTOMATICALLY DETECT SETTINGS is checked. If you did make any
changes MAKE SURE that you SAVE those settings.
Restart the computer and all should be OK

I've done that so many times but thanks for your response. This problem
started when I started using my Linksys router for a Vonage connection. I'm
wondering if the setup for the router disabled my wireless capabilities.

What can be done to rectify this problem?
