Is there any way to configure XP's restore function to only monitor
drive C:? When I use external USB drives for backup, restore
automatically starts monitoring them also. When I tell restore to
"NOT" monitor the USB drive E:, it remembers that only for as long
as that drive is hooked up. When I remove the drive and later hook it
back in, restore starts monitoring that drive again.

Thanx,
NIK

He may have the answer. I was not aware that System Restore does
monitor removable drives.

Type -system restore- in help and support about the fourth on down;
exclude a non-system drive or partition.
